"F1: Fast & Furious" was released in late June this year, produced by Apple Original Films and directed by Joseph Kosinski. Seven-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton (second from left in the image below) was deeply involved in the film's creation, and his production company Dawn Apollo Films served as executive producer.

Since its release, the film has grossed over $600 million worldwide, making it the most successful film for lead actor Brad Pitt and Apple to date, and the highest-grossing sports film of all time. As of September 16, the film's cumulative box office in mainland China was approximately 439 million RMB.

This week, Apple CEO Tim Cook told Variety magazine during the Emmy Awards ceremony: "We are indeed discussing the sequel. This film was a huge hit for us this summer, and we are very proud of it. The actors involved are all outstanding, and Brad Pitt's performance in the film is also brilliant. We can't wait to bring the sequel to the audience."
As for the direction of the sequel, Apple has not revealed the timeline or plot details. But given the success of the first film, rumors suggest the sequel may continue the story of the first, further exploring the excitement and challenges of the F1 racing world.

Additionally, reports indicate that with ESPN's broadcasting contract with F1 expiring this year, Apple is bidding for F1 broadcasting rights, and the film's success may have strengthened Apple's bargaining power in negotiations.
