Regent Hotel Opens Global First Spa & Wellness Center in Bali

March 12, 2026

In February 2026, IHG Hotels & Resorts officially launched Regent Spa & Wellness. This new concept centers on sensory well-being and will roll out at select Regent hotels and resorts worldwide.

Regent Bali Canggu is the first property to host this new spa and wellness brand. Over the next five years, Regent hotels in Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, and Kyoto will also introduce Regent Spa & Wellness centers, all designed by IHG's in-house wellness expert team Raison d'Etre.

Tom Rowntree, Vice President of Global Luxury Brands at IHG, said: “Wellness is increasingly becoming central to how we travel and why we travel. With Regent Spa & Wellness, we aim to offer guests a new way to optimize their senses and enhance their experiences. This new concept is a natural extension of reimagining the Regent brand for today's most discerning travelers.”

Regent Bali Canggu opened in December 2024 on Bali's southwest coast, nestled between the Indian Ocean and terraced rice paddies. Its 150 sea-view rooms and suites strike a balance between nature and design. The newly unveiled Regent Spa & Wellness center offers a curated selection of restorative treatments and spa facilities that blend Indonesian traditions with contemporary healing concepts. The “Reset” ritual combines open-eye breathing techniques with custom spatial soundscapes, weaving analog and digital synthesizer textures with local instruments to create an immersive sensory experience.

Following Bali, Regent Spa & Wellness will debut at Regent Jeddah Corniche in Saudi Arabia. This will be the first Regent hotel in the Middle East, opening later this year with a prime waterfront location and unobstructed views of the Corniche coast. Its spa spans 1,500 square meters, featuring separate male and female areas, indoor and outdoor pools, and a 200-square-meter fitness club.

Regent Kuala Lumpur, scheduled to open in 2027, will house its Regent Spa on the 31st floor, offering a cloud-level sanctuary for guests to truly escape. Regent Kyoto, expected to debut in 2028, is set within a historic garden meticulously crafted over a century ago by master gardener Kumakichi Kato, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary luxury.

As IHG's second top luxury brand, Regent currently operates 11 select hotels and resorts in global cities and natural destinations, with another 11 projects in the pipeline.
