Aman Hotels Doubles Down on Tennis Ecosystem, Driven by Model-Turned 'First Lady'
Aman has deeply ventured into tennis since 2023, collaborating with top players and launching exclusive 'tennis + wellness' programs and event experience packages.
This year, Aman went a step further by officially launching the Aman Tennis Club in May—not a physical club, but a brand initiative. The driving force behind this project is Kristina Romanova, CEO of Aman Essentials (Aman's lifestyle product line) and girlfriend of Vladislav Doronin, Aman's majority shareholder.
Kristina Romanova was born on June 11, 1994, in Volgograd, Russia. She moved to New York at 16 and began her modeling career. She has walked the runway and shot print campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, Alexander McQueen, among others. She also starred as the female lead in the music video for the late Swedish DJ Avicii's hit song "Wake Me Up."

In 2015, she began dating Vladislav Doronin, Aman's majority shareholder and a Russian real estate tycoon. The couple has two children but has not officially married.
Under Kristina Romanova's leadership, the Aman Essentials product line covers personal care, fragrances, apparel, and accessories. She has noted that people today crave moments of tranquility in daily life, and Aman Essentials is dedicated to offering truly beneficial quiet luxury experiences for body and mind.
Since 2023, Aman has been building its tennis ecosystem, starting with endorsement partnerships.
In September 2023, Aman first announced Maria Sharapova as its inaugural Wellness Ambassador. Sharapova designed strength and recovery programs for Aman, currently available at the Aman New York hotel and Amanzoe in Greece.
In August 2024, Aman announced Novak Djokovic as its first Global Brand Ambassador and Wellness Advisor. Djokovic contributed to the design of detox and wellness programs, which have also been launched at several resorts.
This May, the Aman Tennis Club officially debuted, and tennis apparel was launched as a key category under Aman Essentials. Djokovic also participated in designing the collection.
Kristina Romanova stated, The Aman Tennis Club was born from an exploration of tennis as a mindful ritual, where precision, rhythm, and breath converge into a state of quiet focus. Tennis embodies this duality: it is both powerful and graceful, competitive yet deeply meditative. Aman envisioned a collection that supports this experience holistically—offering refined, performance-driven apparel on the court and versatile pieces for recovery, travel, and everyday elegance off the court.
The Aman Tennis Club launch event was held in May at Amanruya in Bodrum, Turkey, with Novak Djokovic and British actor and Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne among the distinguished guests.
The Aman Essentials tennis collection includes items such as knitted tennis skirts, half-zip sweatshirts, T-shirts, and shorts, priced between $121 and $250 (approximately RMB 850 to 1,760). All apparel is produced in Italy and Portugal.
In September, Aman New York hosted an event marking a new chapter for the Aman Tennis Club, with Maria Sharapova in attendance.
From November 21 to 23, Djokovic hosted a three-day wellness retreat for Aman at Amanyara in the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean. The three-day event cost nearly $50,000, excluding accommodation and meals.
The retreat aimed to share Djokovic's health philosophy and professional training methods, focusing on three key areas: elite mobility, restorative recovery, and building longevity. The three-day schedule included spa massages, Pilates, yoga, singing bowl sessions, and more.
Beyond product and event tie-ins with tennis, Aman is also accelerating the construction of tennis courts: According to Orange Bay Sports' incomplete statistics, as of December 2025, eight Aman resorts have built tennis courts, with two more—Aman Nai Lert in Bangkok and Aman Miami Beach in the U.S.—currently under construction.
On December 11, Amanpuri, a luxury hotel on the west coast of Phuket, unveiled two newly built padel courts as an addition to its existing four tennis courts, while also renovating two tennis courts.
