F1 Singapore Grand Prix: How to Turn a Race Into a City-Wide Spectacle

October 10, 2026

From October 9 to 11, the 2026 F1 Singapore Grand Prix takes place at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The circuit is 4.927 kilometers long, with the main race spanning 62 laps.

According to F1 Destination, the 2025 Grand Prix weekend drew 300,641 fans, the second-highest attendance in the history of Singapore's F1 race. It not only boosted Singapore's local economy but also sparked a tourism boom across the Asia-Pacific region.

Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong stated: Since Singapore began hosting the F1 Grand Prix in 2008, the F1 race has brought over 720,000 international visitors to Singapore and generated more than US$2.2 billion in additional tourism revenue for Singapore's hotel, dining, attractions and retail sectors.

Orange Bay Sports notes that the Singapore race has long ceased to be merely a racing operation—it is run according to the logic of a city-wide event.

This year, the Singapore Tourism Board and the race organizer jointly launched the official "Grand Prix Season Singapore" (GPSS) program, stretching the 3-day race into a 10-day city project running from October 2 to 11, with the whole city joining in.

Beyond the Track: Shopping Districts Become Exhibition Venues

The official F1 Exhibition lands at Gardens by the Bay, making its first appearance in Asia, running from July 23 to October 18. Seven exhibition zones trace over seventy years of F1 history, with display cars including the 2011 championship-winning Red Bull RB7 and the 2003 BAR Honda 005, plus more than 25 driver race suits and 50 helmets.

Marina Bay Sands has upgraded its partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP again this year: from September 14 to October 12, the SF21 race car is displayed in Tower 1's lobby; from September 25 to October 25, the shopping mall hosts Asia's first Ferrari lifestyle boutique; and the three hotel towers and the ArtScience Museum light up in Ferrari red every night from 7 p.m.

Ray-Ban hosts the Beyond The Track pop-up at Clarke Quay CQ (October 1 to 14): featuring Ferrari collaboration eyewear, the SF-23 display car, two racing simulators and F1-themed interactive games. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc appeared at the Fountain Square on October 7.

Adidas opens two racing-themed pop-ups at Raffles City and Funan: at Raffles City's Arts Plaza is a 1:1 replica display car of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team W16 E Performance along with racing simulators; at Funan's first-floor atrium is the Audi Revolut F1 Team's R26 display car with interactive challenges—this car sports a Singapore-exclusive livery for this race.

Breitling hosts an F1-themed pop-up outside its Raffles City boutique (October 3 to 12), themed around Breitling × Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team, featuring racing simulators, reaction challenges, F1 helmet displays and collaboration watches; the same mall also has an official F1 merchandise booth where fans can buy team gear from Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes and more.

LEGO hosts the Experience the Thrill event at Suntec City Towers 3 and 4 atriums (October 1 to 18): a life-sized VCARB Formula 1 car built from nearly 400,000 bricks, plus four obstacle challenges.

Before Race Day, the Circuit Is Already Open

ALL ACCESS 2.0 runs every Friday to Sunday from June 26 to July 26, offering Singapore residents free access to the F1 pit building, with five sessions daily and advance booking required. This year adds a race control center tour and a chance to try F1 Kids commentary at the beIN SPORTS Asia commentary position. Last year's edition welcomed over 17,700 visitors.

#RevUpSG community watch parties are now in their fifth edition, visiting three communities from August to September: Bedok Town Square (screening the Dutch Grand Prix), Toa Payoh HDB Hub (screening the Spanish Grand Prix), and Admiralty Village (screening the Azerbaijan Grand Prix). There are also reaction-based interactive games and F1 Kids commentary experience positions from beIN SPORTS Asia.

The Thursday Pit Lane Experience was held on October 8, open by ballot to Singapore citizens and permanent residents, with up to 4,500 participants, two tickets each, and no race ticket required. Winners can walk the pit lane, see F1 cars up close in team garages, and enter the F1 Village in Zone 1.

The Largest Concert Lineup in the Race's History

In addition, the approximately 772,000-square-meter Circuit Park features 10 stages, where top artists from around the world perform during the race, interspersed between sessions, turning the event into a three-day festival of nonstop highlights.

For example, globally renowned rock band The Killers, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey and others have been announced. The Killers last performed here 8 years ago, drawing about 60,000 spectators, while Lana Del Rey is holding her first concert in Singapore. Their performance order: The Killers after qualifying, Lana Del Rey after the main race.

The lineup also includes JJ Lin (Friday, Padang stage), Janet Jackson, James Arthur, Split Enz, Goo Goo Dolls, Zara Larsson, CORTIS; the DJ stage features Mark Ronson, DJ Snake, Major Lazer Soundsystem, ZHU, Rev Run and more; Tia Ray and Lil Ghost also appear on other stage lineups. The organizer calls this one of the largest performance lineups in the race's history.

On ticket prices, the official ticketing page shows Friday is the cheapest for single-day tickets: Zone 4 Walkabout from S$198, Stamford Grandstand from S$228, Padang Grandstand from S$258, Premier Walkabout from S$298. Saturday and Sunday single-day tickets are noticeably more expensive.

On July 10, the organizer said ticket sales were extremely strong and several ticket categories had sold out. By early October, the official ticketing page showed Paddock Club, Sky Suite, TWENTY3 and other hospitality packages had all sold out, with only a small number of general tickets released; the organizer said a small batch would be kept for on-site sales each day at designated entrances during the race weekend to curb secondary-market resale.

Turning a three-day race into a ten-day city project, the F1 race has become Singapore's annual festival.
