Shenzhen AI Ski Hardware Startup Heygo Secures Multi-Million Dollar Investment from Houxue Capital
On September 2, Shenzhen-based AI ski hardware company Heygo completed a multi-million dollar angel round of financing, invested by Houxue Capital.
Founded in July 2025, Heygo has developed an AI hardware device for snowboarding. The team defines it as a "Motion Agent," capable of observing, understanding, and remembering skiers' movements, providing feedback to help them gradually find their own improvement path.

Heygo's founding team brings experience in algorithms, software, hardware, and global commercialization:
- Founder Wu Zhenhua worked at ByteDance for three years, serving as the regional business head and user growth lead for Feishu. Previously, he was the Chief Marketing Officer at SaaS software company Vika;
- Software lead Bei Junlong served as a senior product manager at Tencent and ByteDance;
- Responsible for algorithms and data, Chu Jia was previously an algorithm engineer at ByteDance;
- Hardware lead Li Yuansheng joined DJI at the age of 18 and also served as a core R&D engineer at Seeed Studio.
They are all ski enthusiasts, with 60% of the team holding international ski teaching certifications. Some have been instructors, and one even served as a referee at the Winter Olympics.
The entrepreneurial idea also stemmed from Wu Zhenhua's experiences skiing over the past six or seven years. He believes that ski data is difficult for existing AI models to absorb—what the eye cannot see, one cannot feel accurately, and cameras struggle to capture. So, he hoped to use a device to capture this data, feed it to AI, and ultimately enhance individual ski training.
After a year of repeated experiments on ski slopes worldwide, the Heygo team finally developed a sensor that can be installed on the outside of ski boots, requiring both left and right feet to be inserted. To ensure the device operates stably under extreme cold, high impact, and strong static electricity, the team collaborated with university mechanics labs for simulation, testing the clamping force balance for different boot wall thicknesses. Ultimately, they achieved IP68 waterproofing and performance that supports over a week of skiing on a single charge.
Heygo provides real-time voice feedback via Bluetooth earphones, with feedback delivered in three levels: brief prompts during the run, only speaking at critical moments to avoid interrupting the flow; a full review on the chairlift; and at the end of the day, Heygo generates a personalized report and next-step training suggestions based on the day's data.

The frequency and tone of the voice are dynamically adjusted based on the user's level, and it also offers more personalized suggestions. For example, frequent fallers receive gentle encouragement, while aggressive advanced skiers get more direct technical corrections.
To achieve this personalization, Heygo has built its own data annotation platform, forming a closed loop from collection, segmentation, labeling, to training and validation. To date, Heygo has accumulated over a million real skiing data points, constructed a snowboarding knowledge graph with 15 to 20 progressive indicators, and continuously co-creates and calibrates with coaches from different teaching systems worldwide.
Heygo officially states that the first batch of products will be available for pre-sale in September this year, with shipping in October, covering 38 countries and regions. The hardware is priced at around 1,000 RMB, with subscription packages to be launched later. The company has also established partnerships with ski associations and top instructors in countries such as New Zealand and Canada.
Houxue Capital was established in August 2022, primarily covering aerospace, artificial intelligence, high-end manufacturing, new materials, low-altitude economy, new energy, semiconductors, and smart hardware. Its investment portfolio includes: Orca Tech, Star Power, Blue Vector, and others.
