Sports Event VIP Ticketing Platform Seat Unique Secures £20 Million Investment
On June 22, UK-based VIP ticketing and hospitality platform Seat Unique announced the completion of its latest £20 million funding round, led by Nickleby Capital, a well-known UK private equity firm and long-time supporter of the company.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in London, Seat Unique primarily offers tickets for Wimbledon, F1, Premier League football, and other sports events, as well as concert tickets and luxury experience packages including exclusive lounges, dining, and post-event entertainment, solving fans' difficulties in obtaining reliable tickets for popular events.

The company was founded by Robin Sherry and Phillipa Hicks, a married couple, along with their friend James Duffy. Robin has extensive experience in the ticketing and VIP services industry, Phillipa has a background in digital marketing, and James is a lawyer specializing in M&A and private equity. The idea for the company came from Robin and Phillipa's cumbersome experience booking tickets for an Adele concert. Currently, Phillipa is primarily responsible for technology and customer experience, Robin focuses on connecting fans and rights holders, and James serves as Chief Operating Officer.
