LIV Golf League Secures First Title Sponsor: HSBC to Title Hong Kong Event from 2026
The Saudi sovereign wealth fund-backed LIV Golf League announced last Wednesday that it has reached a new multi-year agreement with Hong Kong. After the successful staging of the 2024 and 2025 events, Hong Kong will continue to host the tournament from 2026 to 2027.
The 2026 tournament will be held from March 6-8 at the Hong Kong Golf Club's Fanling Course, where 54 international players will compete in individual and team events.

The Hong Kong Golf Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf venues in Asia. The Hong Kong event is a stop on the LIV 2026 global schedule, with other host cities including Riyadh (February 6-8), Adelaide (February 13-15), Singapore (March 13-15), as well as South Africa, Mexico City, and more than a dozen other destinations.
This partnership makes "HSBC LIV Golf Hong Kong" the first title-sponsored event in LIV Golf League history, a significant milestone for the league since it launched as an "invitational series" in 2022 and transitioned to a full-season league in 2023.
This exclusive event sponsorship stems from a global multi-year partnership announced earlier this year, when HSBC became the first global banking and financial services partner of the LIV Golf League.

Andy Kwok, Captain of the Hong Kong Golf Club, said: "The 2024 and 2025 editions of LIV Golf Hong Kong were both certified as 'M Mark' events by the Hong Kong government and were a resounding success, attracting a large number of fans from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond, with an enthusiastic response. We eagerly look forward to once again welcoming world-class players for top-tier golf competition and exciting entertainment."
LIV CEO Scott O'Neil said the collaboration with HSBC elevates the event, highlighting their shared commitment to innovation and accessibility; Barry O'Byrne, CEO of HSBC International Wealth and Premier Banking, said the sponsorship aligns with HSBC's philosophy of "connecting Hong Kong to the world" and will create exclusive experiences for clients.
