This week, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, hosted two major events: the 2025 Pickleball World Cup and the 68th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

2025 Pickleball World Cup

The 2025 Pickleball World Cup was held from October 28 to November 2 at The Fort, a renowned pickleball complex in Fort Lauderdale, attracting teams from 68 countries. Players ranged in age from 13-year-old teenagers to seniors over 70.

It is reported that the event drew over 25,000 attendees, creating an electrifying atmosphere. The tournament is expected to generate more than $8 million in economic impact for the local area.

 

68th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The 68th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was held from October 29 to November 2. This major boat exhibition attracts over 100,000 visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors annually. Local officials stated that the show generates nearly $1.8 billion in economic impact each year and supports approximately 100,000 jobs.
