2026 Sanya E-Prix to Be Held in Haitang Bay in June
On November 13, the 2026 Sanya E-Prix press conference was held at the Rosewood Sanya. It was announced that the 2026 Sanya E-Prix will take place on June 20 at Haitang Bay, marking Round 11 of Season 12. Notably, this is the championship's return to Sanya after seven years since Season 5 (2018/19).

With both Shanghai and Sanya on the Season 12 calendar, China once again becomes the only country to host two races in the same season, fully demonstrating its leadership in electric mobility and innovation. Sanya boasts stunning coastal scenery and a challenging street circuit, making it a world-class event that showcases Sanya's global vision and commitment to sustainable development.”
After seven seasons, next year's Sanya E-Prix will be even more spectacular. Fans can not only witness thrilling wheel-to-wheel battles on the challenging street circuit along the coastline but also see the performance marvel of the new GEN3 Evo car, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.82 seconds—30% faster than current F1 cars.
Moreover, the Fan Village at next year's Sanya E-Prix is also worth looking forward to. The interactive zone will feature a gaming arena equipped with multiple simulators, creating a Formula E gaming center for an immersive racing experience.
The GEN3 Evo will also make its debut at the 2026 Sanya E-Prix. Spectators will witness 20 top drivers battling wheel-to-wheel on the Haitang Bay circuit. For teams and drivers, the new track layout next year will be more challenging than in 2019.
