Orient Express Launches 'Italian Golf Train' Rome-Tuscany Route, Starting at €14,000 per Cabin

In 2025, the luxury train travel brand "Orient Express", a joint venture between Accor and LVMH, added two exclusive itineraries for golf enthusiasts on its "La Dolce Vita" train: "Northern Greens" and "Italian Swing", perfectly blending high-level sport with slow, elegant, and immersive travel.

According to Italy's Il Sole 24 Ore, the project primarily targets international tourists and aims to enhance Italy's appeal as a top golf destination, showcasing its natural beauty and cultural heritage. The two four-day, three-night itineraries launched their inaugural journeys in October and November 2025.

This year, the two routes set off again. The itineraries include the Marco Simone Golf Club, host of the 2023 Ryder Cup, San Domenico Golf Club in Puglia, The Club at Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, Antognolla Golf Club, or Argentario Golf Club, among others.

According to the Orient Express official website:

"Northern Greens" next available for booking in May 2026. Currently, the cost per cabin (double occupancy) is €18,360, for a four-day, three-night journey starting in Rome, passing through Turin, Brescia, Tuscany, and returning to Rome.

"Italian Swing" next available for booking in April 2027. Currently, the cost per cabin (double occupancy) is €14,160, for a four-day, three-night journey starting in Rome, passing through Puglia, Siena, Tuscany, and returning to Rome.

The journey begins at La Minerva, Orient Express's first hotel in Rome. The "La Dolce Vita" train's design is inspired by the 1960s, with a prominent Art Deco style, and its bar car is particularly striking, featuring curved banquettes and exquisite vintage objects.

In addition to enjoying golf, guests can savor cuisine prepared by three-Michelin-starred chefs and immerse themselves in live music and the Italian lifestyle on board.
