Luxury Cruise Brand Explora Partners with Tennis Star Sinner to Develop 'Ocean Wellness Program'

MSC Group's luxury cruise brand Explora Journeys recently announced the launch of “Balance: Jannik Sinner Ocean Wellness Program” in collaboration with tennis star Jannik Sinner.

Developed by Sinner and his team in partnership with Explora, the program transforms a professional athlete's training regimen into customized experiences designed to enhance guests' physical and mental vitality. The program will debut on April 24 aboard Explora I and launch on May 18 aboard Explora II. Sinner will also board the maiden voyage of Explora III from Genoa to Rome's Civitavecchia on July 24 to interact with guests.

Jannik’s participation in Explora III’s maiden voyage adds special meaning as we launch not only our newest ship but also a new wellness program designed to further enrich the ‘Ocean State of Mind’ experience.”

The program is rooted in the brand’s ocean wellness philosophy, inspired by Sinner’s playing style, and built around four pillars:

• Training: One-on-one training sessions focusing on precision, control, and balance, applying elite performance principles to guests of all fitness levels.

• Mindset Reset: Guided breathing exercises using calm, conscious techniques to maintain mental focus and regulate the nervous system.

• Recovery & Healing: Targeted muscle relaxation techniques combined with therapeutic touch to relieve fatigue, improve mobility, and achieve deep relaxation.

• Revitalization: The program concludes with an invigorating experience in the thermal area of Ocean Wellness – The Spa, using alternating hot and cold therapies to promote circulation, accelerate recovery, and restore balance.

Explora III’s maiden voyage departs from Genoa on July 24, calling at Marseille, Saint-Tropez, Villefranche-sur-Mer, and Livorno, before arriving at Civitavecchia (Rome) on July 29. Sinner and his team will join the first leg from Genoa to Marseille, engaging with guests through intimate dinners, private wellness coaching sessions, and more.

Explora III will arrive in Barcelona on August 1 for its official naming ceremony, then proceed to Lisbon, embarking on a journey across Western Europe, the UK, Iceland, and Greenland.
