Sequoia China and Monolith Capital Lead Investment in AI Necklace Startup Founded by Former Huawei and ByteDance Product Managers
Recently, AI health hardware company OdyssLife completed multiple rounds of financing totaling nearly 200 million RMB, led by Sequoia China and Monolith Capital, with existing investors Linear Capital and Creekstone participating.
OdyssLife was founded in Shenzhen in June 2025, originally named "XinGanZhiYing," inspired by the ancient Greek epic "Odyssey." Founder Pan Yuyang, born after 1995, previously served as a product manager for ByteDance's Coze platform. Before that, he worked at Huawei on the development of Xiaoyi algorithms and deeply participated in the product development of HarmonyOS. The core team of OdyssLife comes from leading domestic and international internet, hardware, and AI companies.

The company's first product, Odyss N1, is the world's first all-weather AI smart necklace, whose main function is to monitor dietary intake through a "shooting" method.
The built-in camera of Odyss N1 can identify food type, volume, and cooking method. Combined with audio and motion modules to capture ordering voice, it achieves over 90% accuracy in recognizing calorie content of common Western dishes. Based on data such as calories, nutrients, and glycemic index, Odyss N1 can generate personalized health intervention strategies through AI algorithms.

OdyssLife focuses on high-net-worth individuals, including biohackers, tech and finance professionals, and fitness enthusiasts, positioning itself as a high-end tech fashion item. By customizing components, it achieves a sense of quality in color, material, and craftsmanship, and initially reduces software subscription fees to expand the market.

Odyss N1 plans to start KOL testing in North America this April, launch on crowdfunding platforms in June, and sell through its official website from August to September. Subsequently, new series will be launched every 3-4 months, and products targeting female users will be introduced.
The company plans to expand its business to mainland China, Japan, and the European market within two years, establishing a complete channel and data link domestically. It is currently recruiting mobile and software development engineers, hardware project managers, interaction and visual designers, as well as marketing and operations personnel.
