Golf Brand Malbon Secures $28 Million in Funding

October 10, 2025

According to English media outlet Front Office Sports, Los Angeles-based golf lifestyle brand Malbon Golf recently received nearly $28 million from two undisclosed investors.

According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, this round is part of a larger equity fundraising plan aimed at raising a total of $43 million.

According to Pitchbook.com and Fundz, Malbon's only previous funding was in January 2023, when it received $2.1 million from New York private equity firm Avenir Growth, which primarily invests in business technology companies, including ShopMy, Klaviyo, and others.

Malbon was founded in 2017 by Stephen and Erica Malbon. The couple felt that golf's conservative attitude clashed with modern culture, so they decided to break tradition by infusing the rebellious spirit of street culture—fashion, music, art—into golf, making it more inclusive.

The brand initially focused on menswear and launched its first womenswear collection in 2023. Apparel prices range from $58 to $448 (approximately RMB 410 to 3,190).

In addition to creating trendy apparel, Malbon actively collaborates with major brands across luxury, sports, beverages, racing, film, bathroom, swimwear, and private jets, including Jimmy Choo, TAG Heuer, Nike, adidas, Coca-Cola, and other well-known names.

In October 2024, Malbon appointed Aaron Heiser, an 18-year veteran of Nike, as CEO, while the founders focus on product creativity.

In an interview earlier this year with overseas media shop-eat-surf-outdoor.com, Aaron Heiser revealed that the brand's annual revenue is now close to $100 million, with 35% of sales coming from international markets, especially Asia.

At the end of August this year, Malbon announced a strategic joint venture with TKG Lifestyle to expand into China and the Asia-Pacific market, and officially opened its China headquarters in Shenzhen's Prince Bay at the end of September.
