Nick Kyrgios Invests in 'World's Fastest-Growing Premium Pickleball Club'
On March 10, Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios became an equity partner and athlete ambassador for indoor pickleball franchise company The Picklr. Specific financial terms were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Utah, USA, The Picklr describes itself as "the world's fastest-growing premium indoor pickleball club chain." In just a few years, The Picklr has opened over 60 clubs across the United States, sold more than 500 venue franchises globally, and recently opened its first international club in Winnipeg, Canada.

The Picklr was co-founded in 2021 by friends Jorge Barragan and Austin Wood. The former, previously in enterprise software sales, now serves as CEO; the latter, formerly at a medical device company, now serves as Chief Strategic Partner Officer. Driven by their passion for pickleball, they founded the company in 2021 and assembled a management team with extensive experience in sports and fitness.

Born in 1995, Kyrgios won the Australian Open men's doubles title and was runner-up in men's singles at Wimbledon in 2022. He has previously invested in Stack Athletics, a pickleball functional apparel brand under The Picklr, and Vulcan, a pickleball equipment manufacturer. In November 2025, he joined Stack Athletics as Creative Director.
As an athlete ambassador, Kyrgios will participate in The Picklr's promotional activities and co-branded digital content production. The co-branded paddle "The Kyrgios," developed jointly with Vulcan, will be available for exclusive pre-sale at The Picklr from March 11 to 17.
