Djokovic Backed Incrediwear Uses Semiconductor Technology for 'Non-Invasive' Sports Recovery
Recently, Incrediwear, a sports recovery technology company based in California, received investment from tennis superstar and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who also serves as its brand ambassador. He discovered Incrediwear after undergoing knee surgery in 2024, and the company offers a new way to repair sports injuries without surgery, simply by wearing protective gear.

Unlike traditional braces that use compression to reduce pain or stabilize joints, Incrediwear incorporates germanium and carbon elements into the fabric using patented technology. These semiconductor elements, when heated by body temperature, emit infrared light waves and negative ions, causing cellular resonance that increases blood circulation, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the injured area, thereby reducing pain, swelling, and accelerating healing.
Currently, Incrediwear offers non-compression support products for all major joints and body parts (such as arms, legs, feet, back, shoulders, waist, etc.), catering to three main use scenarios: injury recovery, sports enhancement, and daily wellness. Individual product prices range from over $10 to over $100.

Incrediwear claims that using its braces increases blood circulation in the injured area by 22%, speeds up recovery by 31%, reduces pain by half, and improves knee function by 42% compared to before wearing.
The efficacy of Incrediwear has also been validated in specific clinical trials:
- In a study on patients with grade 1 and 2 knee osteoarthritis (OA), using Incrediwear's germanium-embedded knee brace resulted in 100% of patients showing improvement, with significant clinical and statistical improvements in joint pain, daily function, and stability. Patient compliance was high, indicating the product is comfortable and suitable for long-term use.
- Another study compared Incrediwear's non-compression knee brace with traditional compression stockings during the postoperative recovery period. Results showed that on day 21 post-surgery, the non-compression brace group experienced a 19% reduction in swelling, while the compression stocking group saw a 35% increase in swelling. The non-compression brace group had a 4% greater improvement in joint range of motion and reported lower pain levels.
The inventor and first user of Incrediwear is the brand's founder, Dr. Jackson Corley.
He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, a private school specializing in the spine and nervous system. Before founding the company, he had over 20 years of experience as a chiropractor and ran the largest chiropractic clinic in Northern California.
He is also an enthusiast of skiing, tennis, and cycling. In 2008, a mountain biking accident severely injured his spine, nearly paralyzing him. He refused surgery and decided to develop a wearable brace himself, leading to the creation of Incrediwear in 2009.
